What drives you to get off your butt and take photos?

It's strange what sparks things in my head.  I was just reading another thread here about how do you explain your photography and this question jumped into my head. Actually I found the question to be one that slowed you down and think about an answer.  Then this one came to mind.

So add another log on the fire and tell what drives you, especially when it's cold out and it's warm inside... to get off your butt and go outdoors to take photos?

My answer is to build experience and to try to create something that others would awe at.

I have been doing it for so long that it is just normal to me. My 365 project has been going on, and off for the last 47 years. That and I take my dog on her happy walks in the woods, and many days I can find something to shoot. This time of year in my opinion has the best light over the summer months. That is because the light is coming from a better angle because the sun is south of the Celestial Equator.

While sitting in my sunroom, I look outside and see so many things to take pictures of, just in my back yard.  I just have to go get my camera and take some shots. Even when it is raining, I will set my tripod up, open the sliding doors and shoot.

To get out and try to find that next shot that that rocks.  Like some of you, when I read an article, tip or watch a video on how to do something.  I'm excited about getting out and trying it.
