Cutting cost, going with Tamron 24-70mm vs the Canon 24-70mm

Mmm well if you had tried you might know the Sigma 24-70 is an "old" Sigma which isn't as good as the Tamron. There is talk of a 24-70 f/2 OS coming from Sigma which would probably be better than the current Tamron, but the Tamron beats the current Sigma in nearly all aspects.I debated this myself and went with Canon just because i wanted that little extra quality. The Tamron (like a lot of newer Tamron lenses) is VERY good (especially for the money) and has IS/VR. I'd go Tamron for sure if I wanted to save money. That said, I did go Canon and have no regrets.
