I hate Windows 8

I put off upgrading to 8 because of all the negative comments about it's usability. I had a problem with a desktop that had 7 on it and I thought maybe Windows 8 would fix it. I hated 8 for a day or so but then I started to move around in it and got a feel for it. I can't understand what all the uproar is about. It works fine and is a very stable platform. I don't have a problem with it and I think some of it's features are pretty slick. It's not really a big deal if you give it a couple of days to get used to it.

Me too.
I have never liked 7 at all. I do not like its appearance for the most part, it is too Applesce for my tastes. That whole retarded quick launch BS just eats up screen area. I run a clean screen on XP with the hidden desktop, and have the quick launch disable on the task bar. Now if I could make either version go back to an actual classic mode, I would be all good to go with it. Also I do use Win 7 at times, but that is mostly to do fixes on my mothers computer, so yes I do know how to use it. I know that when I do build a new machine, I will be forced into the latest ugly MS ugly step child, but then I will make it a multiple boot machine anyhow.

XP is hitting end of life  very soon. As for 8 it's not so bad once you've got it stripped down to a normal OS, I've found classic shell the best start button out there.
