Best photo editing monitor for under $350?

As my title suggest, I'm looking for something that is made specifically for those who do a lot of editing. I would like to stay below $350 including tax and shipping.  Would you mind me asking what you are using?

Canon 7D, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 70-200mm L f/2.8, 100mm and 17-55mm f/2.8

Buy a decent flat display and a ColorMunki or Data Spyder to calibrate it. Dedicated devices are outside your budget, I believe.

My images pretty much don't get tweaked by labs, and I use a ViewSonic display and a ColorMunki. It's possible to train yourself to get good results. I think my images pretty much speak for themselves. You might not get the kind of results that you think you can get from an expensive monitor, but accept the need to learn and grow. Start modestly (calibration is key, IMO) and grow over time.

Gary gave some great advice, personally I really like the dell ultra series which you can find on amazon for cheap . They have great out of the box color and only need minor calibration to get them perfect.

Thank you for making PhotographyTalk.com your photography community of choice.

Gary nailed it. Calibration is the key to editing correctly. I have just a standard LG LCD monitor from Best Buy, but it is calibrated. If you plan on printing your images then you are better off getting a calibrator first, and worrying about a monitor second. I am willing to bet that what you have will work fine once it is calibrated. In fact I am willing to bet you will be amazed at how much it was off in the first place. I know I was when I calibrated mine.

I have some sort of a Dell monitor at work, and it holds up very well next to the Retina display on my MacBook Pro. Hate to admit I'm impressed.
