How to add hair in Photoshop?

9 years 6 months ago #404739 by Freshstart
I have a client who is asking if I can add some hair to his head.     Not sure how to do this, I have tried clone stamp and it always looks fake.

Is  there a trick to doing this?

It depends on how sever the lack is. If there is a fair amount of hair with no scalp showing, I use the clone stamp, experimenting with source control and brush opacity. It isn't easy, but usually some improvement can be achieved. On the other hand, if you try to give him the Elvis look....

When you are using the clone stamp, how close are you zooming in and what size brush are you using for your clone tool?

Don't forget to do this in it's own layer

It depends on the image. "Experiment" is the word....Duplicate your layer, and play.
