Removing facial hair completely with Photoshop?

9 years 2 months ago #427240 by ArtWagner
I have a client that wants their 5'oclock shadow removed from their photos.  All my attempts so far make his face look 'fake'.  I have tried using the smudge, blur, and clone tools with no success.  Any thoughts on how best to do this?

:thx:

I don't know a perfect solution but my best idea would be frequency separation. See if that will work.

Wouldn't it just be easier for the client to shave prior to a shoot? .......

Edit: Also, according to many at this site, it will cease being a "photograph" if you remove the whiskers......:P

Why so serious?

I know, right?

Per the above, frequency separation is probably your best bet, at least to mitigate the color, perhaps without changing the texture.  Good luck.

Think about how much Photoshop has advanced in the last 10 years.  Now fast forward 10 years from now.
