If you work from your home, do you list your address on your business cards?

Personally I wouldn't, maybe get a PO Box or something.

I don't think I would, not on your cards that you might leave a lot of places. Depending on where you live, maybe the town/city or general location? if you felt people would need to know if they live in the area where you schedule clients (maybe something like 'Serving greater ___', or 'Based in ___').

Is it likely anyone would mail you anything? Seems more likely they'd just want to know the general area where you're located, you could give your address out when needed.

This question has come up before, and I must confess that I really don't understand the issue. Any reasonably clever person, armed with a name and area, can find a home address via the web. At least, here in the US.

I think the real issue here is, is there any value to including one's home address? That depends upon how you run your business. If you are primarily on location, then there's probably no point. If you do things at home (sessions, proofing, ordering) then it would stand to reason that your address should be included.

I do most of my shooting away from home, but I can use my living/dining area for shoots. Thus, I have clients to the house on occasion. I do not include my address, just my email/phone/websites; it is on my contracts and invoices, however.

All that to say, without a storefront or primarily home-based work I don't see the point of an address. Email and phone. And you might need to indicate your business hours and whether you respond to text messages.

My old business cards had my work address on them.  So wasn't sure what other photographers are doing.  I was interested in learning what was the norm.  Personally I'm not comfortable with putting my home address on my cards.

You do not really need to have your address on them. It would really only be needed if you had a studio that you worked out of. If it is for receiving mail then there are the UPS Stores where they have boxes, or the good old post office.

I put it on my business card but I do occasionally get cold calls from sales reps. There is an explosion of home based business's around the world so it is accepted that you may work from home.
