Those are lovely, and especially after this winter! You're ahead of things here, daffodils and crocuses so far and other things finally starting to come up. Always enjoy seeing your garden photos.

I still shoot basically the way I did with film (look around, compose in the viewfinder, look some more, compose, find a great image, take one shot, move on) , but I do take a few more repeats of a scene than I used to just because they're "free" insurance against something going wrong during the shot. For example this afternoon I went out in the yard for a while to look at our flowers, and took 20 shots of 8 different subjects, with 11 keepers.

I've reached a point with the hardware part of photography that I typically can get it to achieve what I want without even thinking about it so the process remains entirely right brain ( a handy skill for a left brain dominant Engineer).
