Sunset on an old building

I found this old Spanish finca a few month ago just outside my town. Today I went back to take some photos during the sunset. Critique welcome.

I like a lot the quality of the light. About the first shot, my first impression was "is it tilted to the right?" Than I realized that it was not, but there is some distorsion that makes the wall on the right look tilted (or is it just me?)
My eye kinda wants to see a little bit more of the window on the left corner. You have a very strong diagonal line given by the light coming from the left that unfortunately points where there is not much. I would try to shoot it again a few minutes before/after to have the ray of light pointing just below the oven in the wall.
I am a little bit more puzzled by the second shot: what is exactly that you wanted to show?

The first image needs to be cropped on the top and right to clean out uninteresting elements.

The 2nd image should be a landscape, focuse on the door and chair, and have a much shallower depth of field to remove the distracting background. In other words, the outside of the building should provide context for place, but it's not the subject, and therefore should not be in focus.  I like the light, but some PP to bring out detail in the interior would be good, too.
