Tokina vs Sigma vs Tamron

I almost forgot my question to post here today!  What's the deal with Tokina lenses vs some of the other aftermarket manufactures like Sigma and Tamron.  You see the later two mentioned all over and Tonina is tucked away, but the comments seem pretty good.  Thoughts?

Tokina has some good glass, but very limited.  Go with the Sigma

From the top of my head, here's some good glass from all three:

Tokina11-16 (can kinda be used on FF cameras despite it being for crop cameras only, very sharp lens, but the build quality could be better).

Sigma 35/50 1.4 Art lenses (beats the Nikon/Canon expensive alternatives). The newer Sigma lenses are all good.

Tamron 24-70 2.8 VR (I think they call it VR), Tamron 150-600 These are considered very good. The 24-70 2.8 is 90% of the IQ of the Canon/Nikon versions and has VR/IS/OS.

There's also the Sigma 150-500 and 50-500 that are considered to be quite good. The Sigma 85 1.4 is supposed to be quite good too, but I'd wait for the inevitable Art version to come out.

There's probably more good ones out there too, but these are the ones that seem to stand out.

Most of the Tokinas are full frame, and they don't update their line nearly so often as Sigma and Tamron.  Way back in the 35mm era Tokina had a quality edge over Sigma and Tamron.  But both Sigma and Tamron have upped their game since then.

The Sigma 24-105 f/4 Art and 120-300 f/2.8 Sport lenses are exceptional performers too.

I am desperately trying to convince people that a 120-300 f2.8 would be an excellent present for my wedding. No luck so far :)
