i am thinking of getting a tamron 24-70 mm vc any one got one or used one ?

Because you want to know if they like it, or if they're wanting to sell it...?

I have the older 28-75 f/2.8 non-VC lens and I love it. For the $400 I paid for it it's been very good value.

That said, I think that whatever reviews you read about this lens, comparing it to the the Canon/Nikon or Sigma equivalent, is going to be accurate and trustworthy. I don't think you can go wrong with it, frankly.

sorry if they liked it. i have a tamron 70-200 with vc and love it also have a 50mm f1.8 love the lens but with shaky hands i thinking the vc would help.

Why is that relevant? Especially after the OP has stated he owns the 70-200 and a 50? And please, for the love of all that's decent, don't say "effective focal length" because that's a fallacy. It's "effective view angle" and it really doesn't matter. The camera works the way the camera works.

It can be relevant in terms of performance on different cameras.... Not that I put a lot of stock in DXOMark benchmarks, but the scores change depending on the body is used on....
