Getting colored gels to stick to flash

OMG flash makers make it so tough.  I don't want Velcro on my flash and the flip screen doesn't always work.  How in the world are you all keeping your colored gels on your off camera flash?

What is wrong with velcro on your flash?

The only solution to not using velcro that I know of is Magmod, a magnetic flash gel system.

Personally I don't mind having a velcro strap on my flash if gels are necessary, even though I don't find gels do too much. But here is the one I use  www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/614826-RE...tion_Filter_Kit.html

Magmod to me is very good looking, clean to see and is a new up and comer for flash gels. If I had the money and it was on my priorities to get a better flash gel system, Magmod would be my choice.

I don't use colored gels, but if I did, I would use cinefoil to build mounts for them. And make it off-camera.

i have the Digital Harbor kit from Adorama. Mounts are designed for specific flashes and include a variety of gels. Nothing adheres to the flash and it has a grid in the mount.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I don't like Velcro either, try a rubber band.  That's what I use

I have a Velcro fastening system for the Carbon fiber boom, which helps me to shoot a moving car. It allows each section of the boom to get fixed by stopping rotation of the sections.
