Water Refraction Photography

So I tried my hand with water refraction photography. For my first attempt I failed. Does anyone have any tips?

Clicking photographs in water drop refraction is the most difficult task to do. For that proper concentration is needed. One should have to be an expert in normal photography. After that he/she can try for water refraction photography. For clicking this the camera gear should have following features

1.Macro lens
2.Extension tubes – not essential but they will get you closer to the drop of water
3.Tripod – A model such as Vanguard's Alta Pro 263AT which has a center column that can be rotated to a horizontal position is handy to have as you'll be able to get closer to the water drop without compromising on support.
