I find it fascinating. Well done. Take it a few steps farther, maybe milk drops into water, or shoot in dark with differently positioned speedlights? .....;)

Why so serious?

The shot is pretty nice, just the processing I don't like.

I think it would benefit from the exposure and contrast being pushed.

The weird texture you put on the background is distracting too. Myself I'd just make it all white.

I like it! This is really nice, but you need yo work on your editing skills. I think you pushed it too much. it doesn't look natural anymore.
Try following the advice of stealthy Ninja.. :)

+1. Or just us a lens blur to really drive the bokeh. Or get a better (simpler) background.

You might consider B&W, too. I don't think color really adds anything here.

Very nice try.
You may want to consider some changes: Don't show the bottom of the glass. it's distracting from the water drops. Try different glass shapes. As mentioned before, simplify the background. Add more color by using an off scene colored light or reflective card. Move the background farther away. Just some things to think about. But nice start.

i like the shot but the back ground for me is distracting. maybe black back ground would bring more life into the photo
