Member Photos being posted on FB PT Page

9 years 4 months ago #415947 by woodcycl
I'm a new member to PT (premium) and just noticed earlier today that PT posted a photo of mine from one of my galleries on the PT website to their FB timeline.   Of course, they did say Photo by: Brian.  But, I was surprised.

Is there some setting or or other information somewhere that talks about PT possibly doing this from time to time?  If not, I'm a bit surprised.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks much,
Brian

Hi Brian,

First off, welcome to the PT.  It's a pleasure to meet you.  4 years ago, I started this company to help people become better photographers and to help connect them to those that could inspire them.  If you follow our Facebook page, even hours we push out a photography article or tip (Educate).  Odd hours we post links to extraordinary photographers work (Inspire) found on PhotographyTalk.   We've been doing this for 4 years.  Well, actually we started with just 1 "Photo of the Day", however we had such a high number of requests to feature more photographers, we started increasing the photographer recognition to what you see today.

If you would rather not be featured in the future, let me know.  I'll make sure your photos aren't linked to from our Facebook.  If you have any questions, I just sent you a friend request with my direct office number.  Feel free to call me any time!

Happy Holidays!

Alex

P.S.  When you get a chance, take a look at our terms and conditions: http://www.photographytalk.com/terms-of-use

Thank you for making PhotographyTalk.com your photography community of choice.

Hey Alex,

Thanks for the quickly reply. I'm actually one of the folks who personally doesn't care and think it is pretty neat. But, i can see some sticklers out there who, if they didn't know ahead of time, may care.

I'm good with the procedure. Was just curious about it.

Thanks Alex and Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Brian

I would just like to stick my Nose in here for a Sec. and say I'm kinda impressed that You, Alex, would answer yourself at all, let alone so timely. There are other Forums I have been on ( for Photography among other things ) and Founders VERY VERY seldom stay involved with the forums like that. Kudos from a fairly new member, starting to become a bit more active. .... Taking my Nose back out of here.... :-)
