Just ordered new Nikon D810!

This was my target, but if there really is a D750, and it really has 8fps, then that will be my model of choice. Fortunately I'm not making a purchase for a few months so I can wait to see how this plays out.

Good for you. Sounds like a nice camera. Not a huge jump from the D800e of course, but if you don't own one already, why not. :D

Be prepared to see all the little mistakes you make.  36MP is an unforgiving mistress. :slapface:

This is true. I thought I had fairly steady hands with the D700, my D800 reaffirmed the importance to me of tripod use!.....:)

Weight the center column of your tripod down.  Mirror slap can create shake at this res.

When the last candle has been blown out
and the last glass of champagne has been drunk
All that you are left with are the memories and the images-David Cooke.
