I just saw this on Linkedin with little information.  I have been thinking about buying a D750.  Anyone know what this is about?

My son bought a D750 just this week. Its fine. The buyer reviews are pretty good as well.  I suggest you stop reading rumor sites......

Why so serious?

A specific problem that shows up under specific conditions.

Solution: Stop shooting into the sun.

Well these are instruments that we purchase to work in all conditions within reason.  I think this falls into the category of within reason.  Dictating peeps to stop shooting something for the sake of a manufacture defect in my opinion is wrong.

I need an emoticon for "tongue planted firmly in cheek", it seems. I was [mostly] kidding.

An analysis that came out right after the problem surfaced indicated that it was only under certain angles that the shadow manifested itself. Not every angle, not every shot into the sun. The stop-gap measure would be to stop shooting in a way that picks up glare.

It's boring as $h** anyways. I don't know why people thing sun flare is interesting. It obscures and/or detracts from the subject. IMHO.

Yes, it's a design defect, and I'm sure Nikon will make good on it. It's hardly in the same league as the D610 oil debacle, however.
