My favorite model, although I'm still not sure about the title. C&C welcome.

Nice timing and composition. A bit too much separation between subject and background to my eyes, both in luminosity and saturation. Nice pose.

Excellent; thanks. Other eyes are good. I'll (hopefully) wait for additional comments before I revisit the image.

First off, love the frame and idea for portrait location.  When I first opened up the photo, I thought it was a composite.  As pointed out, the separation between the background and your model is just a tad to much.  Other than that, for me, this one rocks.

Interesting setting.  I would nit pick the pose.  I would like to see her facing in some other direction.  And the arm near the right edge of the frame seems a little off in shape.

Straight horizon, crooked model. Also the "filter" looks is a bit overdone for my tastes. I think the separation is fine. I'm not sure what people are talking about there.

Thank you very much.

Nope, no composite; live shot in Acadia National Park (Sand Beach). But after some time it's clear that I've used my powers for evil instead of good.  I was going for mood in the yellows, but got carried away with the water. I am definitely going back in for another try.

Thank you, Kelly.  I was trying for mood, and she wanted a "mermaid" type of shot. Still not sure how the ballet slippers fit into that

Her elbow may be hyper-extended, and/or it may be musculature. I could probably straighten it out, but I'll remember this issue next time. She was probably actually leaning on her arm, instead of just resting her hand there. I'm trying to teach her that posing is not about comfort.

Appreciate your time!

Yep, I think we agree that the PP isn't working just yet. "Less is more."

I get the comments on separation, so no worries. I guess you don't care for the pose? I'm okay with that; I'm pretty happy with it, and she is, too.

Thanks so much for your input!!

Aside from the back being just a little dark, meaning I would like to see more even lighting.  I really like this pose and composition.  I'm not 100% on the story of beautiful woman out on the rocks with her ballet shoes on, but she looks as if in serious thoughts.   So for me, the big waves and ominous background connect with her serious thought on her face.  I'm actually getting mixed signals on this one.  Either way, I'm liking it.

Ha-ha! Okay, yeah. It seems it's OK to place a ballerina in any random location.   This one is a featured image on VB today. I'm not sure why we're lacing our pointe shoes on a city sidewalk. I think dancers get it :)

I don't think she is sad.  She is turning around looking for some crab and muscles for a seafood dinner!
