They are good posing, They need some flash though to make the portrait more dynamic. On an overcast day like that with such even lighting it is hard to make the subject stand out, causing the photos to look slightly bland.

Good Posing, better than I'd have done.

Thank you. Good point about the flash. I will try that next time I encounter this type of lighting. I appreciate the input.

I like the idea of them, the framing's nice except the last one needed to be framed higher or you needed to take a step or two back so her feet weren't cropped off. Looks like the focus wasn't quite where it needed to be, the post to the left looks sharp in the first one but she looks out of focus. It's not as noticeable in the others but the horse looks in focus and so does the umbrella more than she does.

I think you might need to work on your exposures too. If you go out and practice, with just the fence (and maybe whatever critter may wander into the scene! lol) or whatever else you have available and just practice getting the focus nailed and on getting proper exposures. If you're using the existing light I think the key is getting your meter readings and re-checking as you're taking pictures to make sure if the light changes, as you turn and face a different direction etc., that you adjust the camera as needed to get a proper exposure.

I think too the last one would be better without the tilt, she looks like she's just about ready to tip forward and go downhill. Unless she is actually standing on a slope, I don't think tilt that often makes a picture better, the lines in the fence being at an angle just seems distracting.

I think the technical part is what you might need to work on. It looks like you have a nice way of getting photos composed and have the potential to get some lovely photos and portraits in natural settings. Practice, practice, practice! It helps to get so you can set the camera efficiently without having to think too much about it. Keep at it and I think you can get there.
