Great Blue Heron With Fish

I wasn't looking to shoot wildlife this day; I was at the location to shoot the dam/waterfall and was surprised to find this guy in the river below the dam. Good day for both of us; he caught his lunch, I caught a shot.

Nikon P510, tripod-mounted
180mm (1,000mm equiv)
ISO 800 | 1/1000 sec | f/5.9

This photo was taken with my Nikon D7000 and 18-105 at 18mm. I was in "A" mode, Aperture was at 8, ISO at 200, shutter speed 1/320s. HOYA UV filter was attached, shot handheld

This is a picture I took early in the morning (early for me anyway), that pool is in front of my parent's house. I loved the way the sun rays were coming through the branches! the light was extraordinary that day

The two pics below were taken exploring my new city, Montreal. Both handheld

This one was taken with the D7000 and the 50 1.8D, A mode, at F2.8, ISO 160 and shutter speed 1/250s, with Hoya UV on. Love old rail tracks!

And that one was taken from the Jacques Cartier Bridge, with the 50 1.8D at F8, ISO 200, shutter speed 1/80s. I used the Hoya CPL to bring up the colors.
Also like railtracks still being used ;)
