Don´t want to have the last word but I don´t think it´s wrong, it´s just another definition I learned about bokeh.

Sometimes I have problems to express what I mean cause I am not a native speaker and living in Spain I very seldom had the opportunity to improve my English in the last years. So sometimes it sounds very harsh what I write down here. And additional it´s strange for me to see so much theoretic discussions here but rather few about photos. I am used just the other way from German photo-communities. And I am not a technique freak, I prefer the practice.

Yup.  When I started fooling around with photography a half century ago I would never have dreamed that we would be expected to fuss so much over bokeh and low light IQ.  In that regard I do miss those good old days.

Forums are for a lot of things.

This thread is about choosing between 2 lenses.

Just to let you all know, I went with the more expensive 35 1.2.  I'm happy with it in every way except it's a little bit heavy. Oh well nothing perfect.

After carrying it around on the A7 for a while, I'm actually thinking of grabbing a 40 1.4 (same size as the 35 1.4) as an every day lens.  Then use the 35 1.2 for more serious stuff or when I KNOW I'll be doing photography.

And now I'm considering the Sony 55 1.8 to compliment this lens.

Along with the 15mm I'm planning to get, these three lenses should cover most situations.
