How on earth does anyone equate one person's reprehensible behavior as reflective of an industry as a whole? I mean, seriously? Are people really that incapable when it comes to logical thought?

Exactly!  It's not fair at all to put the whole industry under the bus just because of one person.

Canon 5d Mark II • Canon 24-105mm F/4.0 • Canon 135mm F/2.0 • Canon 50mm F/1.8 • Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 • Canon 580ex ii

I agree, one photographers poor decisions isn't exactly a good barometer of what the industry is like in a whole

Canon 7D w/grip, Canon 40D, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L Canon MPE 65mm f2.8 macro; Sigma 70-300mm f2.8; Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro; Sigma 8-16mm f4.5-5.6
