For me, it's always "I'm getting better at what I do. My photos all suck."

Yeah that pretty much describes my judgement of my photos as well most of the time, and has been the case for over 40 years. So with a critical eye is what I will have to say. If you are a perfectionist then you will never be satisfied with what you do.

The sad life of mine lol. I'm a complete perfectionist, and I can second never being satisfied with your photos.

As for how i critique my photos, I always look at it as, what was good, what was bad, and how could I improve the photo.

Mine determination is based on what my friends and family say about my photos.  I'll pick my top shots from a particular day out shooting, and then show those to everyone and ask which they like most.

Friends and family can be deceiving though.  Usually they'll support you even if you suck :P

Nobody is ever going to take a perfect photo and then again there are a lot of perfect photo's around. The one I have to please is me. If I do that then other good opinions on my stuff come's from people with a discriminating eye and appreciation of fine photography. The bad, opinion, well that's just one man's opinion! I'm to old to be to hard on myself!

Good question.  I don't judge my photos, if they look good, they look good.
