You do much hiking?

When I am in northern Arizona I do. I am back east unfortunately taking care of my mom for  awhile. I forgot how much I hated the eastern half of this country till I came back. But when I do get back home my plan is to get lost for a couple of weeks in some remote places I know.

I can somewhat relate to you on the weather.  I grew up in update New York where it's humid in the summer months and the winters are atrocious, unforgiving and often leave you feeling isolated.  Since living in So Cal for last nearly 17 years where it's dry nearly all the time with weather usually darn near perfect... heading back up to where I grew up for even a short period of time can get old pretty quick!  Where are you originally from?

Forgot to charge both batteries, and the temperature in the teens before sunrise sucked what little power was left.  Got up early, froze, and no picture.

Another vivid picture painted!  Did you ever get back to get the shot you were after?

Not yet, no. I hope we can make it back to Colorado within the next 12-18 months, but we shall see.  Maine in 2 weeks, though, and Albuquerque in October!

Maine would be nice, never been there.  LOL... now I have a craving for this lobster taco truck we see around here.  Absolutely epic tacos that are practically a food group on their own!
