I'm a technical project manager. Computer Science degree and I went from being a developer to project manager over the years. But currently in a mid-life crisis that has me itching to be a full-time photographer! It's just so hard to get into successfully and consistently enough to pay the bills and support the family!

I'm probably going to be a University student forever and we'll see how long it takes before the student loan agency figures out that I'll never actually finish a degree.

Then, when they've taken all my money and repossessed all my stuff, I expect to move downtown, selling rocks out of my two-story cardboard box.

I once had reason to ask one of my grade 8 students where his father worked.  He replied, "My dad doesn't work.  He's a teacher."

Likewise, me.  High school science.

My brother is a truck driver.  He drives back and forth from California to Florida like 3 or 4 times a month.    Not an easy job in my book.  Are you instate or do  you drive distance?

That would be interstate and intrastate. He's interstate. I retired at 60 from road driving, 49 states and Canada. Today to keep busy I feed my chicken, pigeons and my rabbit. Have three bird dog's. Spend the trial seasons at field trials taking photo's. Also have a hoot building photo frames from old barn wood, barn wood with an attitude. Was approached yesterday to make a frame for the winner's certificate for next years AKC Western Brittany Futurity. Designed myself a new frame for it last night. Put together but not finished.

This is one of my photo's in one of my frames. 9x18

Retired from managing wholesale electrical sales, and couldn't be more pleased to be OUT of this rotten economy at this time. (End rant here). Now I do what I want, almost when I want (if its ok with the wife.. ) and as much as I want.....

Why so serious?

I am a Co-owner in a Manufacturers Rep Firm which specializes in the Food service Industry.
We handle everything from Commercial Ranges, to tabletop. Our industry has proven to be fairly steady even through tough economic times, for that I am grateful. When I'm not working, I spend a lot of time with my Family and have been happily married to the same Beautiful Lady for 30 years today (just had to throw that in  :)  )

I was full time photographer. Press, government and then industrial (mining).
Then general photographer in a small town. Digital changed the photography industry.
Now I'm a location scout for the film industry. So I still use my camera daily, but for recording purpose only.
