Quick question for eBay sellers

9 years 8 months ago #397044 by Ruby Grace
Will you allow buyers who are out of country buy what you are selling?  I might be selling some camera gear to buy new and trying to figure out my ads.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 17-40mmL, 24-105mmL, 100-400mmL, 300mm f/4L IS, Sigma 12-24mm, 430EX, Extension tubes

Nope. Ain't nobody got time for that. I don't want to deal with an international sale, or shipping. I dislike purchases that come from China (e.g.), too, and try to avoid them if at all possible.

Fleabay and me parted some time ago. They don't protect the seller, and the way Paypal attaches itself to your bank account borders on criminal. When a scammer tried for my Variable ND, I took steps and fleabay didn't like it. It was a foreign bidder, after I posted in the ad CONUS only!
My advice is only sell things there it wouldn't hurt to lose.......:(

Why so serious?

Shipping overseas is a PITA, so personally I don't.  There are plenty of buyers locally on Craigslist.  These days I'm using Craigslist, but bewarned you get all sorts of spammers and scammers when placing ads there.  Luckily, the reward is no crazy fee's.

:agree:
I would only sell on Amazon now, and only to those in the US, and Canada. I got burned by Feebay as well as a seller. I also sell on CL, and always put down Local only, and cash only. Then I meet somewhere very public to do the transaction, I have even met at the Police Station for the exchange.

US only for me! Canadian paperwork, shipping costs, and delivery delays are a pain. Besides I have always found plenty of buyers right here in the US.

Over seas buyers always try to get discounts to cover higher shipping cost.  As if it's our fault.
