19th century dude credited as being "the father of photojournalism" and I'm sure most young'uns here never heard of him. Hence the link. 150 years from now, most will never have heard of Ansel Adams too.

Anyone studying American history should learn about Brady.
As for Adams, I doubt your assertion will come to pass. His work is widely known, and even for hack it's loved and respected. Not to mention timeless. Brady may have invented photojournalism but that doesn't make his work timeless.

Yup. Dennis Hopper has had shows, Viggo Mortensen is also a lifelong shutterbug. This is a feature in a magazine that list quite a few more famous than Ansel Adams, or Annie Leibovitz for that matter.....
