Depending on what season it is, that $5300 might not be enough.  But, I would say: France, Italy or Sweden are going to be my top locations.  Again, I'm assuming you are going to go outside of high season to stretch that $5300.

Workshop-wise: base your decision on the subject matter and the qualifications of the instructor(s). You couldn't go wrong with a PPA week, or a Photographer's Week at Creative Live (which just happened, and won't occur again until next year).

The genesis of the Ebola epidemic is out of Africa and doesn't seem to be 100% contained, so unfortunately, that is one country I would love to go too, that I would 100% NOT go to now.

Your absolutely right about that. My brother has a client, maybe had at this time, that owned a horse and wrote it off as some kind of breeding stable. You wouldn't believe some of the things that go on.

No kidding!  Heck with it now officially not contained in Texas, makes you think twice about travelling period till they get this under control!

True, but the challenge and what the CDC should have done in the first place is conduct further screenings of all inbound flights.  But then again, it would only be a matter of time before it made it over here.  What needs to happen is a cure.

Norway and the UK are number one on my bucket list. The wife and I are planning for next year. The rub? She wants to do tours and I say nope, I'm going to rent a 4wd vehicle at the airport and go my own way. (I'll get my way as usual)....
