Would Ansel Adams be an early adopter of digital photography?

I'm reading up on photography history and of course there were several mentions of Ansel Adams.  The father of B&W photography who was known for spending what ever time he needed in the darkroom working on his negatives to get the look he was after.

Do you think he would have jumped on digital and Photohop?

A mechanism that would allow him to achieve his goal more quickly, with less trial and error, not to mention waste? Um, yeah, I'm pretty sure he'd be all over it.

From what I recall, Ansel was aware of the upcoming technology and was excited for it.  Obviously as we know history, he didn't make it till then.

His most famous creation, the Zone system, in a way, prophesied what we can do in Photoshop.

Truly one of the most influential photographers of all time.  I bet he would have accepted digital as a new tool to accomplish that photographic vision of his.

How cool would it be to be able to spend the day with Ansel Adams!

What would you ask him?
