Photography gloves for winter

9 years 3 months ago #420047 by Carlos
I had a pair that I recently lost and can't think of the darn brand and trying to find a replacement.  Need to have point finger exposed and rubber traction on the other tips.  Can you help me please?

I use the fingerless wool, with the mitten type removable cover, (Hot Shot Men's The Sentry Mittens) and wear a pair of silk liners under them. I also carry at least one  pair of chemical hand warmers to keep my pockets (where I also keep spare batteries) nice and toasty. I've never found a single pair of gloves that works alone......

Why so serious?

Carlos, it also depends on where you plan to spend those outside hours. There is say, Georgia cold and there is New England cold. There is quite a difference........;)

Those look like a good pair.  I usually just use pocket hand warmers.  Of course I am from the Pacific Northwest and it doesn't always get that cold here.

It is currently 2ºF with 18mph winds WNW ... and going down to -3ºF before sunrise*.  It might warm up to about 12ºF by afternoon.  Or not.  That pair of gloves, alone, wouldn't cut it here.  No single glove cuts it.  Liners and warmers are what works.

*Probably even colder up at Ernesto's place. ;)
