Where can I rent a drone?

Currently legal as a hobby but illegal for commercial use; FAA is working on rules & regs. I'd expect as mentioned there would be liability on your part if you crash it into or onto someone or their property. Between the GPS and recording video they can be tracked back.

I'd do some homework first, seems like usage may be restricted at some point. Plenty of situations already of one crashing into a window, hitting and injuring a marathon runner, just missing crashing onto a busy interstate, hovering near a commercial flight (and apparently if sucked into the engine it could bring a plane down).

Don't forget the white house from a few days ago.  Will insurance companies even insure your drone?  Not surprised, well either way they are fun to fly!

Not a chance, huge liability.

You'll need to buy one, no rentals available.

Hmmm, okay.  Well that will be a change of plans for me.  Time for further homework!

How easy are these to fly out of the box?

One of those is for people to list what they're willing to let someone else borrow, another doesn't have info. but to contact them; with the others you'd need to read the lease/rental agreement etc. but just at a glance it looks like it would be all on you to know what's legal where you live as far as using them. If it crashes or hits anything seems like the liability would be all yours.

Something like this, just buy your own.  Chances are you are going to crash it, then need to deal with their claims department and most likely owe nearly as much as what the drone is worth... yet you don't own it.  I'm watching for deals myself.

DJI is the only one with HD camera built into it.  I wouldn't rent, I would just buy one as pointed out already.

Seeing how hot drones are these days, I wouldn't be surprised to see more companies jumping into this market.

I more I research this, the more I'm thinking buying one will be my best bet.  I'm surprised there aren't more companies building these.

I think that is a smart move

My husband bought one of these and first day crashed it on top of our house and it broke one of the propellers.  I would definitely suggest buying vs renting.  Renting you are replacing all the stuff and you have nothing to show for it.
