Best way to get soft glow on skin of your model?

9 years 2 months ago #423910 by Missy J
From what I can see from my research, some photographers are using baby oil for this.  I'd like to get some thoughts on this.  I've even found some photographers swearing by vegetable oil, yes the stuff you cook with!  I'm not sure how my models would feel if I'm lathering them up with Crisco.

All I'm trying to achieve here is a slight glow on all exposed skin.

Once upon a time I use a Nikon No1 Soft filter but these days I use a blend of layers and filters in photoshop to get this look.
