Printing directly to glass

Interesting Idea.  I am not sure I would want to spend the money on something like this and have it break.

My thoughts too, but I was reading and it looks like they really have their shipping down to a science.

I'm sure it's tempered glass and very strong.  It would have to be.

Would be nice to see some landscape sizes, I think a wide long landscape image would pop with this style of printing.

I thought this was a joke by the original poster, but then see it's a legit process.  Hmmm this is interesting.  So in person would this have the same effect as you taking a photo and placing it tightly behind a piece of glass?  Doing this creates a sharpness in the photo almost.

I'll give it a thumbs up

Joves wrote: It is a lot like the company that prints on plexiglass, and other poly types. There was a thread on it in here last year if I remember correctly. I have also seen some DIY tips for doing it on plexiglass. So perhaps you can do it yourself.

:agree:   correct.  However the downside to plexiglass is that it will turn yellowish over time and scratches easy.  Granted it's much more durable.  This I would categorize as fine art creation.  I doubt that makes much sense.  I see you being able to take an average photo and use this sort of print to make it much more special.  I would categorize metal prints in the same way.  It just adds more 'interest' to the photo and visual experience IMO.

So how does this compare to metal prints?
