I saw this when it happened, probably on Sportsshooter. I think some of them were kept on as freelancers. A number of media outlets have fired photographers and now apparently editors as well. Same kind of thing has happened in radio in my area. Glad I didn't end up going into journalism like I'd thought I'd do at one point. Hope it improves for media photographers in the future.
