How to pose with a woman with a car

8 years 11 months ago #437101 by Paris Gal
I have a client who wants me to take photos of her so that she can send to her overseas deployed husband who is serving with the Marine Corp.  Apparently he has a number of classic cars and she wants to take some bikini shots.

I'm not experienced with posing woman around cars.  Any suggestions?

Might I suggest you go to a book store and pick up some tuner or import car magazines.  You'll find all sorts of examples.  I hope this helps.

I would be asking her if she wants it to be sexy or elegant and make sure she is comfortable with the approach you take otherwise she may look very uncomfortable in the shot.

Alan brings up a good point, I'm guessing for her military husband, she's most likely after sexy.   That's my guess.

+1 tuner magazines, you get plenty of ideas in those magazines.  Good point on clarifying what the client wants.

How so?  If you have a 'right' answer, let's here it.  I thought the above mentioned were rather good ideas.  I was going to recommend the car magazines too.  They always have woman posing in front and on top of cars.  I would think that would be a good source for inspiration.

I was being snarky. It's real easy to go with the Daisy Dukes and halter top, sponge, suds, and big blonde hair bent over the hood.  Since it wasn't real clear what the OP was looking for, my mind went straight to overly suggestive pin-up. Sorry.

I'm not sure sending that kind of picture to your stationed-over-seas husband to get him worked up is necesssrily a good idea. But that's just me.

Yes, the above ideas are good ones. I agree with them.
