Why no big zoom lenses from Tamron?

I like Tamron prices, but just noticed they don't offer any big lens 400mm+.  Why is that?  Is that just not a large market?  Would be nice to get some affordable big glass.

In truth there are not that many who actually make the really long zooms in the manufacturing end. For one thing is the tooling required for the manufacturing, and the development. That and that market is pretty well dominated by a few. The very long zooms do not sell as many units as you would think, and this is due to the cost of them. If Tamron did make an ultra long zoom, it would not be at that beloved Tamron price point. There is no such thing as an inexpensive long zoom lens that is well really a great lens.

Tamron 150-600 is a fairly long lens.

Or is OP talking about primes?

Wouldn't be the first time if that is the case. More often than not, a "newbie" will not be clear enough in their wording of a question. Likely due to their lack of knowledge of the many technical aspects. Tamron has longer primes as well, but they have all been discontinued & were introduced back when film was king. Whether or not the OP could utilize one of them depends on what camera system & body they are using & what limitations they are willing to put up with.
