Hacking into your camera wirelessly?

Let's skip over reasons of 'why'.  But theoretically if you have a camera with wireless capabilities, could someone hack into your camera and take your photos?

I just finished watching a TV show about computer hackers and honestly, this is some scary stuff these guys can do.  Just a 'curious' question.

Its not something I would worry about. Skipping over the whys detracts from the discussion....

Why so serious?

I can't even come up with a 'why' unless you happen to be a photographer with a shot of someone famous doing something offbeat.  I'm sure it's possible, just can't come up with a good enough reason 'why'.

   I still can't figure out a motive for the why?

I'm sure it's possible, but I don't see the motive for doing so.

I happen to agree that this is possible, there just isn't sound reason to justify someone going through the trouble to do so.  We aren't talking tangible personal information, just photos.  There isn't enough meat on this bone to make it worth it.

I would bet if you looked into it some has as a proof of concept, with the way everything is connected now a lot of whitehat hackers seem to gently nudge & remind product makers that security no matter how trivial needs to always be considered. There was a good video I watched a while back about hacking some of these new cars, crazy stuff!

If that is what hackers are doing these days, they have way to much time on their hands

I think we will soon be able to go back to sleeping with our doors and windows unlocked as everything of value will need to be hacked into in order to steal...Including my holiday photos!
