Pre-Order Data for New Nikon D800 DSLR Suggests Its Immediate Popularity
According to a statement from Nikon Japan, the company has received many more pre-orders for the new Nikon D800 DSLR than the number of cameras that have been produced. The statement added that the official launch date is March 22.
In related information, Amazon’s “Best Sellers” shows the Nikon D800 as #1 and the Canon EOS 5D Mark III as fourth. This could change, however, as the D800 has been on the list for 43 days and the new Canon DSLR for just 19 days.
