  1. What many photographers, who are unfamiliar with the 323CT Tripod, notice first is the unique control wheel at the top of the legs. Vanguard calls this the Extreme Support Height Positioning (ESHP) Wheel System. First, it allows you to select a central column height, and then carefully set the height with exacting precision, as it also supports as much as 40 lbs. (18kg) of equipment.

You lift the leg extension locks at the top of each leg vertically to position the legs at 25, 50 and 80-degree angles.
