14024370 sReady for an escape from everyday life and a weekend of fab fun? Text the girls to pack a bag, don’t allow them to think twice and head to Houston for a fabulous weekend of shopping, relaxing and exciting nightlife. Make sure to take your camera to capture everything you do (maybe even those wild nights) in your Houston travel photography.

Choose from Houston’s many wonderful hotels, especially those downtown, placing you in the center of more excitement and fun than you’ll have time to enjoy. No doubt, shopping will be near the top of your fab weekend activities, but you may want to start with a relaxing luncheon at Tiny Boxwood’s, including a few refreshing mimosas. Located in the Upper Kirby/Greenway Plaza, this beautifully appointed café is especially known for its brunches. You’re sure to love the atmosphere, with its charming garden and patio, providing just the right scene for Houston travel photography.

Following a relaxing repast, you and the girls are ready to take on the serious business of shopping. Start with a tour of Houston’s many famous boutiques, such as Kuhl-Linscomb that you may have seen featured in a number of national magazines. Then, walk a few blocks to Tootsies, where 35,000 square feet of fashions from well-known designers and those just starting to become couture stars will greet you and leave you speechless. Stage your own fashion show and capture you and your friends’ poses in many exciting looks as part of your Houston travel photography.

The boutiques may be fabulous, but nothing outshines The Galleria, truly Houston’s number #1 shopping destination. It rivals New York’s Fifth Avenue and Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive, with more than 375 stores filled with the latest designer fashions. Make sure to keep an eye on your friends, as you may never see them again! If The Galleria wasn’t amazing enough, then Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and Macy’s are next-door.

After a strenuous day of shopping, head to Houston Pavilions. Talk about a fabulous, fun-filled location! It’s an amazing cityscape of lights, action and excitement for your Houston travel photography. Stroll the pedestrian walkways and central courtyard for people-watching and alfresco dining. Start the party at the House of Blues, with a live-music show, and then continue the fun at Lucky Strike Lanes. This is not your typical neighborhood bowling alley, but an upscale entertainment venue with an incredible interior design, hip restaurant and bar and plenty of game-filled action that will take your breath away. You won’t be able to resist Forever XXI, a two-story shopping experience like no other. Fashion, art and music are combined to provide more fab fun and a perfect ending to the night.

To bring balance to your girls’ weekend in Houston, experience some culture at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Menil Collection. Marvel at the stunning paintings, sculptures and other works of art at the Museum, and then go contemporary with the exhibits of 20th century artists at the Menil. Create some art of your own with Houston travel photography of the Museum’s exterior during the “magic hours” of dusk and the beautiful interior architectural features.

Montrose’s Pinot’s Palette is another unique opportunity for creativity and fun. You and the girls can attend the 7 pm Saturday night painting class where you’re also invited to BYOB. There’s no better combination than paint and wine! Another cultural option is an evening under the stars at Miller Outdoor Theatre, which features Houston Symphony concerts, the Houston Ballet and other musical shows. You can BYOB at the Theater too! Take a few minutes to find interesting positions and angles to capture the performances for your Houston travel photography.

No doubt, one weekend is not enough for all the fabulous fun waiting for you and the girls in Houston. Plan another trip soon and book a different hotel in another district of the city, so you can explore and discover new shopping, entertainment and restaurant adventures. These are the memories to preserve and share for years to come in your Houston travel photography.
