Domke has long been one of the top names when it comes to camera bags, but their older canvas bags left a bit to be desired in terms of padding and protection. The Next Generation Metro Bag changes that, combining classic Domke style with modern protection and convenience. Despite messenger bags being known for being a bit smaller, the Next Generation Metro will fit a DSLR, four lenses, a flash, and a 15" laptop in a dedicated compartment. Along with the update to the bag's interior padding, the clasps are now easier (and faster) to work with. The front flap is even big enough to carry a 9.7" tablet such as the iPad. The interior uses a flexible divider systems that's customizable to your gear, whether you shoot a DSLR or mirrorless. There are also a number of smaller pockets for accessories. Besides the comfortable strap, there's also a luggage strap for easily fastening to a wheeled suitcase.

The Domke name with modern styling does come at a higher price, however. Listed for $300, it's three times what some of the older Domke messengers are selling for. But, if you are looking for a classic canvas bag with more protection, the Domke Next Generation is a top contender.
