A Chinese fugitive who has been on the run for 17 years was finally caught this week after the Yongshan police used a drone to track him down.
The 63-year-old Song Jiang was previously imprisoned for trafficking women and children until he escaped the prison camp in 2002.
Since then, he has been living in a remote cave in the Yunnan province of south-west China.
Editor's Tip: When having photos printed, one thing that people often miss is examining the type of materials used for the print. For the highest-quality prints, ensure that the printer uses commercial-grade inks resist moisture and fading for a long-lasting, beautiful print. If you choose to have a canvas print made, ensure the printer uses fine art-grade canvas because it's more durable. Get the scoop on the best canvas print companies in this head-to-head comparison.
The Yongshan police had gotten a tip about Jiang's whereabouts in early September, but regular searches for him returned no results.
That's when the police decided to send camera drones instead.
The steel tile, pictured below, is what cued officers to Jiang's hiding place.
When the officers reached him, he had trouble speaking because he had been in complete seclusion for nearly 2 decades.
Jiang is now residing in jail again, though I don't know how much worse his jail cell is than the 22 square feet shanty he had previously known as home.
