Description

So what's not so hot? There's no built-in flash, so adding one will pile more on to the $1,200 price tag, which is a bit high to begin with. The sensor is also the smaller Micro 4/3 kind. The noise reduction isn't as good as similarly priced models. The 4K video is also compressed into the .mp4 format and doesn't offer as much of a color range as dedicated camcorders with 4K. Overall though, Panasonic has done well with the GX8 for both video and stills, though that 4K is enough of a reason for serious videographers to consider the camera.
