Our favorite YouTube channel, Mango Street, loves to prove us wrong about pro vs. amateur equipment and they are at it again.
About a year ago, Mango Street did a Pro vs. Amateur video that went wildly viral. But, because of this, the creators of Mango Street got a ton of criticism.
In order to fill in some questions, and right some wrongs, they created a new video using an even cheaper entry-level camera.

This time the group chose a $30 camera for their amateur equipment and the $5,499 Canon 1D X Mark II and $1,699 Canon 35mm f/1.4 II for the expensive cameras to really highlight the differences between the two.
Plus, they shot both inside and outside in the middle of the day to force their amateur photographer to work with poor lighting.
All said and done, we really can't tell much difference between the pro and amateur photographers when they were using the $30 camera. It was obvious the model knew what she was doing, but most amateur photographers nowadays have at least some expertise due to the likes of Instagram and selfies.
However, the differences between the pro and amateur shots using either of the expensive cameras were like night and day.
Now, our opinions don't exactly work with what Mango Street wanted you to come away with, the idea that even a pro photographer can be phenomenal with cheap equipment, but you'll have to watch the video for yourself.
