Dallas, like all of Texas, celebrates the family; so it’s easy to fill your Dallas travel photography with pictures of your family having the time of your life. The city offers many family entertainment venues, where you can have fun together and capture your children in spontaneous moments of joy that make the best family memories.
Start with SpeedZone! It’s a thrill ride from beginning to end. Little kids (those shorter than 54”) can enjoy the racecar experience when they drive a Kiddie Go Kart at Lil’ Thunder. Designed for safety first, your little ones will have a smile as big as the open road when they climb into one of these speedy, little racers. At the next level of excitement is Thunder Road, where older children and adults can race single or double karts through a challenging and amazing track.
Top Eliminator Dragster is the real thing…0 to 70 MPH in 3.5 seconds pulling a 2.5-G force. Take control of a 300-horsepower dragster and race another family member (or friend) to the finish line. The look on their faces in your Dallas travel photography will be simply priceless!
Slick Trax and Turbo Track pits multiple drivers against each other on a smooth concrete surface that allows for rear-wheel drifts and plenty of fun and terrific racing action. Racing is the main attraction at SpeedZone, but it offers many other forms of family fun, a huge arcade and family dining.
Once you catch your breath, lead the family right across the street from SpeedZone to Zero Gravity Thrill Park. It features five extreme thrill rides that are not for little kids, but most everyone 10 years of age or older are guaranteed to feel their hearts in their throats.
From the Air Boingo tower, the attendants will securely strap you into a harness before you take a seven-story bungee jump. You just plunged to Earth, so now it’s time to blast into the sky riding the Texas Blastoff. You and friend are slung 150 feet into the air, reaching 70 mph in just 1.2 seconds. Hold your camera tight because you don’t want to miss the facial expressions, as you tumble and twist toward the ground on four bungee cords.
If you dare, then take Dallas travel photography from the park’s Skyscraper. With room for four, you’ll be secured into one end of an enormous 165-foot propeller, which will propel you at speeds of 60 mph and slam you into your seat at four G’s.
After so much activity during one day, you may want to wait until the next to visit Shenaniganz in nearby Rockwall.
