Skywatcher vs Vixen Optics?

2 years 8 months ago #536816 by Allen Carrel
In terms of getting into astro photography, which of these two telescope brands would you say is the better pick?  I'll be looking at either a 80mm or something around 100mm.  Would like to be looking at deep sky, and something that I can easily mount my camera too.

Thanks for the help.

Vixen has been around since 1940's I'm pretty sure.  I don't know much about Skywatcher.

You're aware for deep sky photography, the telescope is almost the least important component? Do some research, attend a star party,  join "cloudless nights", online community, see www.astropix.com/ ... etc...you can drop some serious coinage on astrophotography.

Why so serious?
