my first digital what bag should I get

I am so excited, I just bought my first digital SLR!! It’s a Pentax K200 and so far I am impressed with it! Wow, even my lenses from my film camera work on it!! Any suggestions as to what kind of camera bag I should get that would accommodate both cameras and extra lenses??

You'll also need to decide what TYPE of bag to get. There's the carry bag, the "will fit everything you could possibly buy" bag with or without wheels, the backpack bag (with or without laptop slot), the one strap modified bag (allows you to sling it around from your back to your front for access) and the belt bag.

Personally I own just about one of each and still don't know what kind of bag I really want. I've settled on the modified backpack bag - but usually just walk around with the camera slung over my shoulder and my wide angle in my coat pocket. If there's one thing I've learned - I want to go as light as I can.

Yep, David has a good point here. I too have a backpack, I have the lowepro expedition series (I think that is what they call this thing) Either way it's a big bag! LOL

There are many great camera bag manufactures out there. Personally I have Lowepro bags. I have a sling, messager, and their huge back pack. Depending on what I'm photographing, how much equipment I feel like bringing, or just how lazy  I might be will determine which back I bring.

When I'm traveling I like the back back, because I can fit most my equipment including a 15" MacBook. When I'm out hiking around I use the sling most of the time.

Oh yeah! Open up a photography magazine, or type "Camera bag" into Google. There are so many camera bags out there for you to pick.

you should sign up your email address on different photography sites, if they offer it....and you'll get offers for different things. For Labor Day weekend I was able to get a really nice camera backpack from www.kata-bags.com and it came with a National Geographic Tundra monopod free! lol
