I think he misunderstands the first "tip" IMHO... keep your camera level = NO DUTCH TILTS....

REPEAT AFTER ME: NO DUTCH TILTS. I hate dutch tilts. Get up and down yes... but NO DUTCH TILTS. That said, if you're gonna dutch tilt (DON'T) he's right, make it frackin' obvious.

I agree with the filter thing. Though I think most of the time it doesn't matter if you have a good filter on. He's assuming the filters suck. They have nice coating etc. and most of the time don't make a lick of difference. Don't HELP the images I agree, but they can't hurt that much. Personally I don't use them and I totally agree about lens hoods.

Polarising filters should only be used if you know what they're for. He's on the money there.

Keep you sun to your back?! lol what? Never heard that before. He's totally right there.

Friends do not let friends Dutch Tilt.
Filters he is partially correct in that the advice for lens protection is stupid. Yes there are condition where this can apply. Such as dry dusty areas where it is windy, near the ocean catching sea spray, and where you are shooting something where small rocks are flying, i.e dirt motorsports. He comes across as more anti-filter when they have merely been tools of the trade since almost the beginning.
The third I have heard since I was a young child, people would tell me that all the time, as if it was some rule. I have never been really good about following the rules.
I find his video on absurdities, as somewhat absurd myself. Withe the most absurd advice he gave the DT. You shoot level then if you thing it needs the tilt, that is why they created cropping tools.

1. Thank you. I hate UV filters. My boss (not a photographer) argued with me all of the time about using them. She told me to never take it off because it protected the lens. She was nuts. I tried to explained to her that it was not necessary and decreased the quality of the photos. Eventually, I realized she was too stubborn to listen, so when I left the office, I took the filter off, and when I came back, I screwed it back on. So there, boss! She never knew. She also never knew why my photos were consistently better than hers.

2. Completely unrelated. Do his eyes look normal? It always bothers me if it looks as if one eye appears slightly off center. It may just be me.
