Luminosity and color histogram

7 years 8 months ago #494221 by Tsoto
I've watched a number of video's however feel I'm not getting it.  Can someone help me understand a Luminosity and color histogram please?  Specifically how to interpret both.  Thank you so much!

I would advise ignoring the color, and paying attention to the black and white histogram only. Don't over think it....

Why so serious?

I pretty much agree with this. If I were to watch one color it would be red. Red is easy to blow out.

:agree:
Yeah I agree. Also I say what is a histogram? I personally never use them when I am shooting. I have played with my camera enough to know what it is doing. There are just certain things I have never got into the habit of using when I went to digital, and histograms are one of them.
