Forgot to Format SD card

First let me thank you all for the continued help.  These last handful of months have been so informative here.  I'm grateful for all the answers you have given me.

I do have another question today, because I did forget to format my memory card and I have taken photos already on it before realizing that I didn't format the card.

No sweat, Alphonso.
If your camera knew it could record it was ok — the
camera OS would have warned you anyway. Mine did!

Light is free… capturing it is not!

+1 on the above.

Do you mean it was a new card? In which case, it comes formatted.

I forget all the time, no big deal.  I format my cards when I remember.  Never any problems.

You speak to enough photographers, you'll find we all forget to format our cards 100% of the time.  Fortunately, there are enough tolerances built into these systems that make it OK.  Just do it next time.
